Bei einem Namen, der übersetzt "Feuersee" bedeutet, würde man erwarten, dass die Lagoa do Fogo aus verbrannter Erde und schwarzem Vulkangestein besteht. Doch weit gefehlt. Der See ist umgeben von grünen Gipfeln, sandigen Ufern und scheinbar endlosen Zedernwäldern, die einen der größten Seen der Azoren umgeben. Dieser 11 km lange Weg führt Sie zu verschiedenen malerischen Orten und endet mit einem wohlverdienten Bad.
