This popular full-day 4x4 tour will take you into the northern part of Cyprus. You'll visit intriguing spots, including the ancient city of Salamis and the old town of Famagusta, as well as passing by the ‘ghost town' of Varosha.

Your journey into the past starts with a photo stop at Deryneia before you'll pass through the UN buffer zone to the northern part of the island. Pass by Varosha, once a popular beach resort and now a 1970's time capsule. Then you'll have free time to explore Famagusta and see the main sights, including the Venetian castle and the Gothic cathedral turned mosque.

Your journey continues to the ancient site of Salamis. You'll have time to explore its ancient roads and ruined temples as well as the partially restored amphitheatre. There's also time to find a spot to grab some lunch before visiting the tomb of St. Barnabas, the patron saint of Cyprus.

Troödosgebergte 4X4 tocht met meze lunch

Je trekt de hele dag door het beboste Troödosgebergte en je ontdekt met deze 4x4 safari de ruigste landschappen van Cyprus. Je ziet wijngaarden, watervallen, bergdorpen zoals Lefkara, pijnbossen en meer.Je begint met een fotostop bij de indrukwekkende Dipotamos Dam. Dan ga je verder naar het slaperige bergdorp Lefkara, bekend om zijn sierlijke kant en zilverwerk. Vervolgens hobbel je een beetje off-piste naar het Mesa Potamos bos waar je, als je wil, deelneemt aan een optionele wandeling.En net als je trek hebt gekregen, wordt er een lunch met mezes geserveerd in een dorpstaverna. Daarna zet je de prachtige boswaterval op de foto die met ijskoud water 20 meter naar beneden stort. En na een wijnproeverij bezoek je het dorp Omodos, waar je door de smalle straten slentert of neerstrijkt voor een Cypriotische koffie in een 'kafenion'. Een verfrissend einde van een dag vol actie.
