Cette excursion vous offre l'opportunité d'explorer la péninsule d'Akamas, aussi bien sur la terre ferme que sur la mer qui l'entoure. À cette occasion, vous troquerez l'autocar habituellement utilisé contre un véhicule 4x4. De plus, la région tire sa renommée de sa beauté naturelle qui saura vous éblouir. Votre journée commencera aux gorges d'Avakas, peut-être la merveille naturelle la plus impressionnante de Chypre, avec une promenade d'une demi-heure à travers son profond canyon aux murs verticaux de calcaire qui forment un tunnel naturel et étroit. Vous passerez ensuite par la plage de Lara qui a fait l'objet d'un projet de conservation visant à protéger les tortues de mer menacées de disparition, depuis des décennies. Vous finirez par un déjeuner à proximité du port de Latchi, suivi d'une excursion en bateau vers la lagune bleue où vous pourrez vous baigner dans une eau si claire que vous pourrez y voir vos orteils.

Akamas Peninsula 4x4 Winter Tour
There's only one way to explore Cyprus's last wilderness – in a 4x4 vehicle. This off-road adventure will take you on a bumpy ride through the rugged Akamas peninsula. You'll get to see the wildlife-rich Avakas Gorge and Lara Bay, visit Port Latchi and the mythical Baths of Aphrodite. An action-packed day.Home to more than 160 species of birds and almost 40 species of plants, the entire peninsula is a national park. There are no main roads – just dirt tracks and pathways. The fun kicks off with a drive to the giant limestone walls of the Avakas Gorge. Next up is Lara Bay. This very remote spot – even by Akamas peninsula standards – is home to a breeding station for protected green turtles.It's time to rev up the engine again for a trip to Port Latchi. Then, in the afternoon you'll visit the Baths of Aphrodite. Legend has it that the Greek goddess of love used to bathe here with her lover, Adonis.
