The day starts at Nerja Cave, where you'll wander through its massive chambers and check out stalactites that look like they've been growing forever – in fact, they're over 800,000 years old.
Then, it's off to Frigiliana, a whitewashed village nestled in La Axarquia, a historic region that covers most of the eastern part of the Costa del Sol. Here, you'll sip local wine, snack on a tapa and enjoy some free time to poke around shops selling goods like artisan ceramics, leather goods and local honey. It's perfect for picking up a souvenir or two.
The final stop is the town of Nerja, home of the iconic Balcon de Europa, a viewpoint with unbeatable Mediterranean views. Once the site of a ninth-century fortress that guarded the coastline, today it's one of the area's most popular meeting spots. You'll also have time to stroll around, browse the shops or pause for a coffee before heading back to your hotel.
