Located a couple of hours north of the French Riviera, head inland to the region of Provence to the Gorges du Verdon. It’s a special add-on to any South of France holiday. What immediately strikes visitors about the gorge – the deepest in France – are the bright turquoise waters caused by glacial minerals. Prepare to be mesmerised. You can enjoy views of the gorge from above or dive right in for some water activities. From finding small beaches and waterfalls to kayaking or paddle boating, there's lots to do.
