NEMO to największe muzeum nauki i techniki w Holandii. Znajduje się w dzielnicy Oosterdokseiland w Amsterdamie, kilka metrów od dworca głównego. Muzeum powstało w 1923 r. i przez lata nosiło różne nazwy, ale dopiero w 1997 r. architekt Renzo Piano zaprojektował imponujący budynek, który udaje wielki statek wynurzający się z wody. W 2000 r. przypisano mu nazwę Centrum Nauki NEMO.
Jest to miejsce odpowiednie dla wszystkich grup wiekowych, dla tych, którzy uważają, że nauka i technika mogą być zabawne. Zgodnie z filozofią „Nie wolno nie dotykać” zmysły zwiedzających będą zaabsorbowane interaktywnymi wystawami, spektaklami, projekcjami filmowymi, warsztatami i pokazami. Budynek ma pięć pięter, na których można dowiedzieć się wielu ciekawych rzeczy o grawitacji, elektryczności, ludzkim ciele, Wszechświecie i wielu innych zagadnieniach. Na piątym piętrze znajduje się kafeteria, plac zabaw dla dzieci, a dodatkowo można z niego podziwiać panoramę Amsterdamu.
