The wild side of north-west Crete takes centre stage on this small-group van adventure. It's a day that blends scenery, soft off-road exploring and laidback coastal moments. As local guide Manolis likes to say, “This day shows you Crete in one sweep, the quiet villages, the wild tracks, the peninsula, the lagoon and the beach that ties it all together.” You'll cruise through the countryside around Kissamos, passing olive groves, villages and coastal views as your guide shares stories and insights about local life, history and the natural beauty of Western Crete, giving you a richer sense of how the landscape shapes everyday rhythms.
Then, you'll head off the beaten track across the rugged Gramvousa Peninsula on an 11-kilometre off-road route. After a short walk, you'll reach a natural balcony overlooking Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island, where you'll have time to soak up the views and snap photos of this iconic spot.
After that, you'll continue along the coast to Falasarna Beach, where golden sand and clear water set the scene for around 2.5 hours of free time. Here, you can swim, unwind or grab lunch and drinks at a nearby taverna. As the day wraps up, you'll sit back for a scenic drive back along the north-western coastline.
