Departing from Bilbao, you'll dive into the D.O. Txakoli from Biscay / Vizcaya, where the Atlantic climate and coastal slopes shape its character. In Bakio you will visit the Txakoli Museum to understand the origins, culture, and techniques that have earned this vibrant white international prestige.
You'll continue to a txakolindegi (a txakoli winery), to discover each stage of the process with an oenologist and your local guide, from vineyard and harvest to pressing and fermentation. Before enjoying a guided wine tasting of different txakoli styles paired with a small appetizer of Cantabrian products that highlight its citrus acidity, saline touch, and aromas of green apple and fresh herbs.
