Enjoy an evening full of fun and dancing with as much food and local wine as you want: let yourself be drawn into the Cretan joy of living.
Your night will be spent discovering all there is to know about Cretan music, dances and celebrations: its oriental sounds, played on the lyre and lute, the precise steps of the dancers, the acrobatic movements of the men, the colourful costumes of the women and the austere national dresses.
Once you've arrived at the "Traditional Village" of Kato Karouzanos, you'll get to stroll around the paths and through arches strewn with bougainvillea. The villagers will be waiting in their houses to welcome you and guide you around the exhibits. You'll also have the chance to take part in a number of different events: take some pictures with a young couple dressed in traditional Cretan costumes and their donkey called Michalis and taste a shot of "raki", the local spirit, as it is produced directly from the distillery.
In the course of the evening, you'll be invited to visit a traditional house and view the traditional island costumes, as well as to tour around a museum dedicated to old traditional tools and utensils from every day’s life of the old Cretans. Once most activities are over, your dinner will begin: you'll get to taste a local dish made with cucumbers and potatoes as well as Cretan bread baked in a traditional over. The traditional show will start just as soon as dinner is over, and you'll get to enjoy an exciting evening of fun.
