Join a full-day journey through some of the Scottish Highlands’ most scenic landscapes on this guided tour from Inverness to the Fairy Pools and Isle of Skye, including Dunvegan Castle entry.
Departing from Inverness in the morning, you’ll begin with a stop at Rogie Falls for a short woodland walk, followed by panoramic views over Loch Carron. Crossing the Skye Bridge, you’ll arrive on the Isle of Skye and pause in a village for refreshments before heading west to one of the island’s highlights — the Fairy Pools. Set beneath the Cuillin Mountains, this walking trail follows a river of clear pools and small waterfalls in a dramatic mountain setting.
The tour continues to Dunvegan, where you’ll visit Dunvegan Castle, the ancestral home of Clan MacLeod and the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland. Explore its historic rooms and gardens, with time for lunch nearby. Later, travel through the island with a stop in Portree and a photo break at Sligachan.
On the return to Inverness, enjoy additional scenic stops including Eilean Donan Castle and Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness, arriving back in the evening.
