Covered in forests of oak and cork trees with granite massifs creating steep slopes, Monte Nieddu is where you can come and escape in nature. On this half-day tour, you'll venture into remote areas, including the natural pools at Rio Pitrisconi and the viewpoint at Vedetta Palemonti, which is all rounded off with a tasting of typical Sardinian food.
Rising up behind San Teodoro, Monte Nieddu reaches 970m above sea level, and it's where you'll be heading for a morning of exploration. First, you'll get to survey the lay of the land at a panoramic viewpoint, Vedetta Palemonti, from where it's easy to reach our next stop on foot.
There's a short 15-minute hike to Rio Pitrisconi, a mountain river that's carved out a series of natural pools set amongst waterfalls and gorges. You'll have time to swim and take it all in before a tasting of typical Sardinian food to round off.
