What to expect

Explore historic temples commissioned by King Chulalongkorn, including the iconic Wat Niwet Thammaprawat. Delve into Ayutthaya's past with a visit to renowned sites like Wat Chaiwatthanaram and Wat Mahathat, home to intriguing relics and ancient ruins.

Meet your guide at your hotel lobby in the Bangkok area and head to Wat Niwet Thammaprawat. Then, visit Wat Chaiwatthanaram, a Buddhist temple in Ayutthaya Historical Park. It is one of Ayutthaya's best-known temples and a major tourist attraction.

Next, discover Wat Lokkayasutha with an enormous reclining Buddha statue, set among centuries-old ruins. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch and prepare for more exploration. Roam around the Historical Park of Ayutthaya by visiting two prominent sites. Start with Wat Phra Si Sanphet, a restored temple ruin located on Ayutthaya's city island inside the Historical Park, and then proceed to Wat Mahathat, one of the oldest and most significant temples in Ayutthaya's history, known for housing the Buddha's holy relic. Move on to Wat Phanan Choeng, an ancient temple built in 1324, 26 years before Ayutthaya was founded, which houses an enormous 19-metre-tall and 14-metre-wide Buddha image.

Bangkok Canals and Flower Market

Thailand's markets come in all shapes and sizes – and this full-day tour dives right into the action. First up is Ladplee, Thailand's first floating market, and the oldest one around. It's for the history and the hypes, and trust us, it delivers. Picture colourful canoes drifting by, piled high with fresh fruit, snacks, and local goodies – perfect for snapping those Insta-worthy shots. Next, you'll cruise through Bangkok's canals to the lively Damnoen Floating Market, where the energy is just as electric. Then, it's off to Wat Bang Kung, an ancient temple that looks like it's been plucked straight from a movie set, completely enveloped by jungle vines. After a tasty seafood lunch, you'll have time to wave at the cheeky monkeys when you stop by the Mangrove Conservation Centre. And, for the grand finale, we'll hit the Maeklong Railway Market—where stalls are literally set up on the train tracks. Sounds wild, right? Just wait until you see them clear out in the nick of time as the train rolls through, then everything goes right back to business. This is one Thai adventure you won't want to miss.
