4x4 safari to southern Fuerteventura’s wild beaches
Set out on a 4x4 adventure in Fuerteventura on this small-group tour limited to just six guests. You'll off-road through the wild landscapes of southern Fuerteventura, navigating deserts, mountain trails, and cliff-lined coastlines. Start by heading south, towards the Punta de Jandia Lighthouse. You'll pause at some of the island's prettiest viewpoints and beaches along the way, like Playa de los Ojos, also known as the Beach of Love or Playa Juan Gómez, which is tucked away in a cove on the eastern coast.Next, you'll continue to El Puertito, a little fishing village away from the crowds, for a taste of Canarian life. Sip coffee at a traditional restaurant perched right on the ocean's edge. From here, you'll head into Jandia Natural Park and stop at a viewpoint overlooking Cofete Beach, where the volcanic coastline meets the sea. And, don't forget your camera. You'll be snapping away at the vistas from El Salmo Viewpoint, looking over Sotavento Lagoon and the sand dunes here.

The semi-buried dwellings found here known as deep houses – or casas hondas to the locals – were built over 600 years ago by the island's first inhabitants, the Mahos. They served as nighttime shelters, refuges from natural disasters, and sometimes hiding places.Next, you'll continue to Los Molinos, a charming coastal hamlet, for a stroll along the coast. Then, you'll continue back on off-road trails, with stops at Playa Jarubio and Playa del Aquila to soak up the beach views and snap some pics. This archaeological site is one of the best places on the island where you can learn about the native Guanches people, AKA Mahos, who lived on the island before the Spanish arrived in the 15th century.

On the west coast, we'll arrive at Cofete beach where we'll have free time to immerse ourselves in the beauty and uniqueness of this place, walking along the endless, virgin beach, enjoying the charms of the landscape and taking a deep breath of sea air.This tour is also a great opportunity to discover the secret of Gustav Winter's Villa, which, according to local stories, was owned by a German spy who supported nazis submarines during World War II. On the way back, we will stop at the port in Morro Jable, where we can often meet huge stingrays tempted by the local fishermen, who feed them.
