The inside story
Perched on a green hill in the middle of the city, Ljubljana Castle is a main landmark in the Slovenian capital. Originally constructed as a medieval fortress, the present-day complex was largely reconstructed in the 16th century featuring renovated rooms of the nobility, immaculate halls and of course the castle dungeon.
Ride the 70 meter-long funicular departing from the Old Town, explore the historical monuments around the walls on a leisurely stroll and enjoy spectacular views of the city below.
