The inside story
Jump on board the world's only surviving British clipper ship the Cutty Sark. Interactive fun will sail through 150 years of history of the record-breaking clipper. Learn about her famous voyages from her early days transporting tea from China to Britain to transporting wool from Australia – this is where she broke records. Learn about her name change when sold to a Portuguese company and her return to British seas being used as a cadet training ship. The Cutty Sark was transferred and restored to Greenwich in 1954 where visitors can enjoy her today.
Taste what life was like on the open seas for a sailor in the late 1800s and learn how the crewmen survived high seas, storms and conflict. This interactive museum ship is fun for all ages with games and exhibits to engage all senses. You can even get close enough to touch the gleaming copper hull. Admire fantastic views of London from the deck or visit the Cutty Sark café, serving classic British afternoon tea. The souvenir shop on site is where you can buy books and other keepsakes to remind you of a special day.
