The inside story
The neoclassical Opéra National de Lyon, usually simply called the Opéra de Lyon, is a sight to behold in Lyon, France. This internationally recognized Italian-style opera house is located right next to Lyon’s City Hall (the Hôtel de Ville de Lyon in French).
With its modern, semicylindrical dome roof, the Opéra de Lyon stands out from other buildings in the vicinity. Built in 1831 and renovated in 1993, this striking opera house has hosted many opera premieres and concerts throughout the years.
