Take the first step towards becoming a certified diver with the SSI Scuba Diver programme. This course is ideal for those who want to begin their underwater journey but have limited time. It provides a foundational understanding of diving theory and essential skills under the guidance of professional instructors.
The programme begins with independent home study, allowing for a flexible pace. Participants can also join scheduled online theory sessions to explore the material in greater depth. Once on-site, a review ensures all concepts are understood before heading to the water.
Training starts with shallow water sessions conducted from the shore. These sessions focus on mastering equipment use, buoyancy and safety procedures in a controlled environment. After gaining confidence, the course moves into the open water.
The experience concludes with two open water dives. These dives take place either from the shore or by boat, depending on the conditions. Participants explore local dive sites while applying their skills in a real-world setting.
Upon successful completion, divers receive a certification that allows them to dive under the supervision of a professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres. This certification is recognised globally, valid for life and serves as a credit towards the full Open Water Diver rating in the future.
