What to expect

Leave the bustle of Bangkok behind and set out on an unforgettable day in nature at Khao Yai National Park, Thailand’s first and one of its most beloved national parks. Just three hours from the capital, this UNESCO World Heritage site stretches across more than 2,000 square kilometers of lush jungles, forested hills, and cascading waterfalls.

Khao Yai is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. As you walk along forest trails, you might spot colorful hornbills, playful gibbons, and, if luck is on your side, even wild elephants. The scenery is just as impressive, with panoramic mountain views and dense jungle alive with the sounds of the wild.

Keep in mind: this is a protected national park where animals roam freely in their natural environment. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but that’s the beauty of Khao Yai: it’s wild, authentic, and always full of surprises.

Know in advance:

  • Khao Yai is a national park, not a zoo. As the animals roam freely in the park’s dense vegetation, wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed
  • The hiking trail we follow is approximately 3 to 4 kilometres long. It’s suitable for anyone with a normal level of fitness, but keep in mind that physical effort is experienced differently by each individual
  • The exact meeting and departure times will be sent to you via email or WhatsApp the day before your tour. These times depend on the number of participants on your selected date, so please check your messages carefully the day before the tour
  • Bangkok's traffic is notoriously bad and often extremely congested. As tours operate on a group basis, please be on time. The local operator can only wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. After this grace period, the guide will start the tour. If you're unable to make it on time, please inform the operator before the tour starts. If possible, they'll try to reschedule you for the next available day or time slot. Please note that a rescheduling fee will apply
  • This tour operates rain or shine. Therefore, cancellations due to adverse weather conditions aren't eligible for a refund
