This hidden route was used as a secret escape route for popes when they were in danger. It stretches from the Vatican City to Castel Sant'Angelo, and is packed with tales of covert operations, conspiracies, and dramatic escapes.

Castel Sant'Angelo, on the other hand, has a different story to tell. Originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian, it's been transformed over the centuries into a fortress, a papal residence, and even a prison. Today, it's a great place to learn about Rome's past, with artefacts and awesome views of the city.
