Facing the Tirreno sea, Civitavecchia is one of the most important ports in Italy, with a history connected to navy and commerce. Civitavecchia is in fact the second seaport in Europe for numbers of travelers that stop here.
Besides being a place of passage, this charming city of Etruscan origins is an interesting spot on its own. Forte Michelangelo is a must see with its majestic appearance, built in the Sixteenth century by Giulio II Della Rovere to defend the Coast.
