Enjoy an unforgettable day visiting the Liébana region and Picos de Europa, one of the nicest areas in Cantabria.
Your first stop will be at the Monastery of Santo Toribio. This is one of the four holy places in the world that offer the Jubilee in Perpetuum. The importance of this monastery relies on the Lignum Crucis, which is the largest piece of wood that remains of the Cross of Jesus.
Afterward, you will reach Fuente Dé and the cable car station in case you want to go to the upper station on Picos de Europa. The trip with the cable car is optional and will only take you about 4 minutes to reach a height of 1,823m above sea level. The views from this place are simply breathtaking. In the summer, there is also the possibility of doing a horse-riding tour in Fuente Dé (optional).
Finally, you will arrive in the village of Potes, one of the nicest villages in Spain and the capital of the region. You will stop there for lunch and shopping before heading back to Santander.
