Stand-Up Paddle Board Yoga is a combination of traditional yoga postures where they are practiced on the water with a paddle board. The Stand-Up Paddle board will be your yoga mat, and the world around you is your yoga studio, in which the elements of sun, wind and water are also invited.
This is an ideal experience for those looking for new ways to explore the beauty of the island in a spiritual way. You're invited to embrace the healing spirit of Sete Cidades, while challenging your physical abilities by deepening your breathing, calming your mind so as to feel more complete in harmonizing with yourself and your environment. Breathe in the fresh air and experience outdoor serenity on the water to strengthen mind and body.
After distribution of all your equipment, you'll be given a brief explanation on how to use the Stand-Up Paddle Board and everything you need to know before heading out on the water. After the demonstration, you'll take your Stand-up Paddle board and take a short ride together to gain some confidence and balance on the water and then the SUP Yoga. You'll start with a creative vinyasa sequence to warm up and strengthen the body and then stretch all the muscles and quiet the mind, along with breathing exercises. The session ends with a meditative relaxation on the water before paddling back to shore, to the initial starting point.
