Je avontuur begint met een boottocht van 90 minuten over de rivier de Arade. Onderweg zie je het kerkje van Ferragudo liggen, gevolgd door de drukke haven van Portimão. Nadat je langs de grot van Sint-Antonius bent gevaren, slenter je door de oude visserswijk van Portimão. En in Praia da Rocha heb je vanaf het fort een episch uitzicht op het gouden zandstrand. Daarna brengt een minibus je naar Alvor, een dorp met kronkelende straten en een 16e-eeuwse Manuelijnse kerk. Tot slot stop je voor een optioneel drankje in een lokaal café aan de promenade langs de monding van Alvor.
