Discover Zakopane, a picturesque town nestled in the heart of the Tatra Mountains. Renowned for its distinctive local culture rooted in the traditions of the Podhale highlanders, Zakopane is also recognised as Poland's skiing capital. You'll stroll along Krupowki, the vibrant main street, where you can browse a variety of souvenirs and sample regional specialities such as Oscypek, the famous smoked cheese.
In the nearby village of Chocholow, you'll admire traditional wooden houses constructed by highlanders centuries ago. Chocholow is also home to the region's largest thermal baths complex, where you can unwind in naturally heated waters sourced from approximately 3,600 metres below ground. These mineral-rich waters are reputed to offer a range of health benefits, promoting both physical and mental relaxation.
