After departing from the Passi nei Sassi central office, you'll reach a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Sasso Barisano. Then you'll continue through the Sassi and discover some of Matera’s most characteristic places, including a traditional cave house, Via Madonna delle Virtù and Porta Pistola.

Reach Piazza San Pietro Caveoso and admire one of the most iconic areas of the ancient city, before continuing towards the historic centre and the Civita district. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views, learn about Matera’s history and discover how the city developed between rock-cut dwellings, churches and ancient neighbourhoods.
