Listen to the history of this fascinating place, discover how its ancient inhabitants lived, and enjoy unexpected views of enchanting gardens. The Carraresi, the Scaligeri, the Visconti, and the Este, are only some of the famous Seigniories that contended the castle’s possession, whose spirits still seem to hunt in the rooms of the ancient manor.
After that, continue to the walled town Monselice by walking up Colle della Rocca, along what has been described as the most beautiful promenade in the Veneto region, via del Santuario, with its famous Seven Churches. Reminiscent of the Seven Basilicas of Rome, this walk is the only one that has the same meaning as the pilgrimage of Rome and is a destination for devotees from all over Europe.
At the end of your tour enjoy Villa Duodo, the Church of Saint George, and last but not least the great panorama of the walled town Monselice from the top.
